We run the world’s best website to outfit your golf cart with parts and accessories. After 2,120,000+ items purchased by our customers, here’s what the data shows people buy most often for their carts (and what's hot now)!
For this year's list, you may recognize a few items that tend to firmly hold onto their rightful place in the Top 10 list of the best selling golf cart accessories on the market. But there are a few newcomers this season as well! So without further ado, and based on tons of customer purchasing data from the past year, let's get to the good stuff! We are proud to present, the best golf cart accessories on the market in 2024:
10. Golf Cart Fender Flares
Falling back three positions, to #10 this year on our list are golf cart fender flares. Fender flares are accessories attached to the wheel arches of your golf cart to help block mud, dirt, rocks, and other debris from being flung into the air by your cart's spinning tires. They are an incredibly popular addition to protect you and your passengers from mud sling (especially for lifted golf carts with offset wheels and bigger/wider tires). Golf cart fender flares not only keep your cart cleaner and your passengers safer, but they also also help protect the body of your golf cart from scratches and dents that can be caused by flying debris. These body flares help keep your passengers dry(er) on those damp days, and will give your cart the tough off-road look you desire, all at once!
There is a reason that Fender Flares are used in off-road trucking, on ATVs and Side-by-Side vehicles and in rally racing: they simply work when it comes to keeping mud off the driver, passengers and important components of the machine! The same principle applies to golf carts. And fender flares are relatively cheap too (around just $80 for a full set of four)!
9. Golf Cart Heater
Notching in at #9 on our list this year, and knocking golf cart steering wheels completely off our list, are golf cart heaters.
No matter what part of the country you live in, the mornings and evenings can get chilly at certain times of year. But the addition of a heater for your golf cart is a smart move that makes a round of golf enjoyable even when it's cold. Think about the cozy feeling of staying warm while you move from one hole to another on a brisk fall day. With a golf cart heater, you don't have to worry about the cold air making you want to end your game early!
But golf cart heaters are not just used for golfing in cold weather. A heater in your golf cart means you can use your cart more year round off the course as well, like for rides around your neighborhood on chilly evenings. A heater makes your golf cart more versatile, useful for both enjoying your favorite sport longer into the season and for getting around town comfortably when it's cold.
When it comes to choosing the right heater for your cart, you have a couple options:
- Golf Cart Propane Heater: a propane golf cart heater runs on propane gas, providing immediate, powerful heat, making it ideal for quick warm-up in open or poorly insulated areas. Typically mounted in your cart's cupholder, a propane heater is considered a portable golf cart heater. But these heaters do require regular refilling of their propane tanks, and are considered to be a bit dangerous by some.
- Electric Golf Cart Heater: an electric golf cart heater uses your cart's battery power, offering more consistent heat output over time without the need for refueling, but potentially impacting your cart's overall battery range.
All of the golf cart heater offerings on our site come with everything you need to simply turn-on and play. So start getting more use out of your cart and comfort for your passengers today! Upgrade your cart with a premium golf cart heater! Adding a heater is a small change that makes a big difference in how much you enjoy your golf cart, turning it into a year-round vehicle.
8. Golf Cart Covers & Enclosures
No matter how new your golf cart is, it is likely that it's an open air vehicle with little protection from the elements (other than your windshield). For this reason, driveable golf cart covers and golf cart enclosures have become an increasingly popular accessory used to protect people from inclement weather while riding in their carts. With a golf cart enclosure, you'll never again get caught in the rain during a round of golf or while out grabbing lunch with a friend! Enclosures are a marine grade vinyl that wraps-around your golf cart to allow you to enjoy driving in all types of weather. And one of the major reasons this accessory is so popular is because it can be installed easily on any golf cart, with tools you already have at home (socket wrench and screwdriver).
Golf Cart Enclosures
Golf cart enclosures are designed to keep you and your passengers safe from rain, cold temperatures, bugs and other elements while you are out driving your cart. They come in several different styles, including:
- Hinged: These have hard-side doors and are the highest-quality (premium) enclosure type. Can quickly and easily lock doors in the open or closed position. Deluxe fitment.
- 3-Sided Over-the-Top: Typically with zipper or button style doors, these three-sided fitted "Over-the-Top" enclosures are the easy budget-friendly solution designed for your particular cart model. They have an open front, allowing you to utilize your cart's existing windshield.
- Track Style: Awning track that is installed on the inside edge of the golf cart roof. Fabric is then slid on and secured into place. These mid-tier enclosures are slightly more fitted to your cart model than the over-the-top style Portable economy enclosures.
- 4-Sided Portable: Fast and easy economy style enclosure. Simply throw over the top of the cart, secure the four corners and you're all set. These enclosures have a more generic and liberal fitment to them. They typically have a clear-vinyl integrated windscreen (not as nice as reusing your windshield on a 3-Sided OTT enclosure). Portable enclosures are like a storage style cover with zip up doors and a windscreen

7. Golf Cart Seat Covers
Golf cart seat covers are a protective layer designed to fit over the seats of a golf cart. Think of them as being a jacket for your seats. Seat covers serve two purposes: one is to keep your seats safe from environmental factors like sun, rain, and dirt that can cause damage or fading; two is to make your seat foam more comfortable to sit on. A golf cart seat cover can come in several different materials such as neoprene, vinyl, or cloth (less common). Most seat covers on the market are waterproof or UV-resistant, and can help regulate seat temperature. And golf cart seat covers are typically designed to fit specific golf cart models (though some are universal fitment). Because seat covers covers take more abuse in their life than many other parts on the golf cart, replacement becomes necessary over time.
On the other end of things, let's just be honest: basic factory golf cart seats can be BORING! Which is why our customers love ordering custom seat covers in a variety of colors and patterns. Simple "staple over" custom golf cart seat covers will make your golf cart more like you, with the color or pattern of your choice and an easy 5 minute installation over your existing seat cushions! While fully custom golf cart seat cushions and colors will give you a more comfortable and upgraded looking seat, with the style and colors of your choice.
6. Golf Cart Lights
Moving up from 8th on our list to 6th on our list is golf cart lights. Even with more consumer golf carts coming brand new with light kits installed from the factory; customers are demanding upgraded automotive style light kits, LED light bars, and light whips for their carts. In addition to this, used carts and golf carts that live life on the golf course first all still need lights kits added to them. Whether you are looking to light up your night-time drives around the neighborhood, or you just want to turn your cart into a street legal machine, a golf cart light kit is what you need to achieve it!
Regardless if your cart came with a light kit brand new or now, more people look to use their cart on the street every year. And for our customers who don't have a light kit on their cart from factory, this accessory is still one of the most popular we sell.
Golf cart lights typically come in two styles:
- Street legal: these light kits typically include front headlights, rear taillights, a turn-signal, horn kit, and brake light switch (to indicate when you are applying the brakes on your cart).
- Non-street legal: simple light kits that typically only include front headlights and taillights, of which may or may not have a built-in brake switch
Other golf cart lights on the market include:
- Golf Cart LED Light Bars: LED Light Bars are typically mounted on the front or roof of the golf cart, providing a wide, bright beam of light that illuminates the path ahead for better visibility during nighttime or twilight driving. Light bars offer more function for your cart.
- Golf Cart Light Whips: Light Whips, on the other hand, are tall, flexible light sticks that can be attached to the back or sides of the cart, offering 360-degree visibility with their colorful and dynamic lighting, making the cart more noticeable to others from a distance. Light Whips add a decorative and fun element to your golf cart with their vibrant colors and patterns, often used in parades or at camp sites to spice up your cart's visibility.
Over the past couple years we have seen many aftermarket brands, like MadJax and RHOX, release automotive-style headlight kits featuring daytime running lights and self-cancelling turn signals for their latest product offerings. Again this year it holds true that the majority of golf carts on the road are still pre-2018 model carts which do not feature headlights from the factory, making golf cart lights one of our most popular selling accessories!
5. Golf Cart Mirrors
Bumping back to#5, but holding strong on our list are golf cart mirrors; and it is easy to understand why! This accessory is incredibly popular with our customers since most carts have just one small center mounted rear-view mirror from the factory. While this small center mirror is perfect for the golf course, it is not safe for the neighborhood, the trails or on the street. Adding golf cart side mirrors or a larger golf cart rear view mirror to your cart allows you to command the road with increased safety while out riding.
And mirrors are a must have for driving your golf cart on the road or through your neighborhood (especially when converting your cart to street legal). Our mirror kits typically come in either a wider angle (multi-panel) center mounted rear-view setup or a side-mount (passenger and driver’s side) set, which get mounted on the roof supports.
Since LED lights have gotten so cheap, many golf cart side mirrors these days have integrated LED turn signal indicators built into them. These greatly increase safety from other traffic on the road.
4. Golf Cart Windshield
Golf cart windshields are one of the most popular accessories you can buy for your golf cart. This year, windshields bumped back up to #4 on our list (from #5 last year), even as more manufacturers continue to include them on carts as standard equipment straight from the factory. This is because the majority of golf carts (especially fleet / course carts) don't come with a windshield installed on them. And, over time, windshields crack during use or develop a hazy and faded look to their acrylic material over time, requiring replacement of the unit.
In general, golf cart windshields are so popular because everyone needs one for their cart! Without a windshield, you are prone to being attacked by chilly air, bugs, rain, rocks and anything else you might encounter while driving on the road or at the golf course. Windshields are the perfect accessory for keeping bugs and other elements off you and your passengers while out driving your cart. We offer wind shield kits in either tinted or clear finish, depending on which style you prefer. And every golf cart windshield we carry is impact modified so that it can withstand moderate impacts during use (without cracking). We also sell DOT AS5 certified windshields for street legal use!
3. Golf Cart Seats & Golf Cart Rear Seat
It’s should come as no surprise that adding a rear seat to your golf cart would be one of the most popular accessories on the market. A golf cart rear seat kit instantly doubles your cart's passenger carrying capacity, and gives your cart more utility in general (extra cargo space/cargo bed). Families and businesses alike love them, and need them! Golf Cart Rear Seats are so popular that all OEM golf cart manufacturers now offer rear seat kit options straight from the factory. But if your cart came without a rear seat installed on it, don't worry! Adding a rear seat to your cart is incredibly easy, and there are lots of great options (both mild to wild) to choose from.
When purchasing golf cart seats it is important that the kit you choose is high quality (marine grade vinyl that won’t fade, tubular steel or aluminum construction, etc.). We also always recommend that the golf cat back seat you choose is a FLIP SEAT/FLIP-FLOP SEAT, which simply means the seat has the ability to fold down to be used to haul cargo. Stationary golf cart seats work fine, but limit what your cart can do with your cart. There are three quality levels to consider when purchasing a golf cart rear seat: Economy, Premium and Deluxe:
- Economy Steel Frame w/ Steel Arms and Bed: These economy seat kits are cheaper, very popular basic options. They typically have a simple steel frame, a cargo bed and basic footplate, with basic cushions that have marine-grade vinyl to protect against UV fading. Economy seat kits may or may not include a rear-safety grab bar. Typically between $375 and $475 in price.
- Premium Steel Frame w/ Poly Construction: These are typically a heavier-duty steel frame, over high-quality and durable injection molded plastic skeleton. This thick plastic skeleton is strong, will not rust, and has a stylish look which includes additional functionality over economy seats; including built-in cupholders and hidden storage compartments. These seats all typically include a large grab bar and cost between $550 and $750 in price.
- Deluxe Aluminum Frame w/ Poly Construction: These seat kits look exactly like Premium seat kits, featuring the same polyethylene plastic body construction. The only difference is, they have an aluminum frame underneath instead of steel, which means along with the body of the seat, the frame itself will never rust either. They cost $850 and $975.
2. Golf Cart Lift Kits
Golf cart lift kits seem to hold strong each and every year at the #2 position on our list, and that is no surprise to us (or our customers). More and more cart owners these days are aiming to give their golf cart the coolest looking wheels and tires they can on their cart. And that means needing more space and height are needed to fit those bigger and better wheels.
It is hard to express just how popular golf cart lift kits are with golf cart owners everywhere! They have become so popular that most OEM manufacturers are offering their carts Lifted (or non-lifted) straight from the factory.
If you ever see a golf cart with tires taller than 20 inches in height installed, then it almost certainly has a lift kit installed on it. The fact of the matter is, if you want to fit bigger wheels and tires on your cart or are looking to drive over rougher terrain; you will need a golf cart lift kit to get the job done!
There are lift kits for all types of applications: from basic block lift kits (for just giving your cart a boost up in height) to long travel lift kits that will turn your cart into a true off-road Baja rock crawler. The most popular lift kit type of them all is the A-Arm Lift Kit, which you will see from all the major brands on our site. We also have a wonderful write up on the different lift kit types (and the tire sizes you can fit with them), as well as a video (below) explaining the different lift kit types. So be sure to watch and read through before ordering your golf cart lift kit with us!
1. Golf Cart Tires and Wheels
The best selling golf cart accessory of 2024 has not been dethroned in the past 10 years running on our list: Golf Cart Wheels and Tires. Golf cart wheel and tire combos are the easiest (and fastest) way to instantly change the entire look and feel of your golf cart. They also give you the best return on your money if you are trying to modernize your cart. And even if you have a brand new 2024 golf cart, replacing your boring factory wheels with an upgraded look are what make golf cart wheels the most popular accessory our customers purchase.
Custom golf cart wheels and tires come in many design styles, sizes and colors. It can seem overwhelming when you start your search… but we have a wheel and tire article to help you with that. In general, golf cart tires come in diameters (height from ground to top of tire) ranging from 18" tall to 23" tall, and get mounted on aluminum and steel golf cart wheels sized 8" through 14". New to the market since the year 2019 are 15" golf cart wheels, but they are not as popular with customers still in 2024 (and offered in limited styles). There are also up to 25" and taller tires that people will install on carts, but again, it is uncommon.
When shopping for wheels and tires, tire size is the most important factor (not wheel size) when determining if a particular golf cart wheel and tire combo will fit on your cart. Whether you select wheels that are 8 inch size or 14 inch size, all wheel sizes will mount on your cart without question. But the tire height is what is important to verify, to make sure you won't experience any rubbing. Here at the Golf Cart Tire Supply, all of our listings for both golf cart tires and wheel and tire combos on our website specify whether or not they will fit your particular golf cart. If you still have a question, you can always just give us a call at 1-844-422-7884, and we are happy to help you make sure your new items will fit properly!
