Most propane golf cart heaters just simply sit in your cart's factory cup holders, providing effective heat for your entire cabin. Propane heaters will use roughly one tank of propane fuel every two rounds of golf (1 lbs canister of propane will last about 6 hours). Although propane is not expensive, you should consider this when deciding between propane and electric. Also consider that golf carts with golf cart covers installed will need proper ventilation in the cabin to use propane safely.

Electric Golf Cart Heaters

• Slightly more expensive than propane
• Require a bit more up-front installation (they are wired to and powered by your golf cart’s battery)
• Efficient and safe

Like in a regular car, electric golf cart heaters typically get mounted on your golf cart’s dashboard and provide a more permanent heat solution for your cart. One additional benefit to electric golf cart heaters is that they typically offer some form of temperature control, which gives you cabin temperature flexibility on those milder days or extremely cold ones.
