EZGO Solenoid
EZGO Solenoid & EZGO Golf Cart Solenoid
Properly functioning solenoids are critical to the health and safe operation of your EZGO golf cart. They help your batteries speak to your EZ-GO golf cart motor. We carry EZGO Solenoid and diode replacements for all EZGO golf cart models. Scroll down to browse our selection of EZGO solenoids.
EZGO Solenoid
An EZGO solenoid is part of an EZGO golf cart's electrical system. The part acts like a switch between the cart's batteries and its controller to make the cart move. When you step on the accelerator pedal in your EZ-GO golf cart, your solenoid receives a low current signal from your cart's battery. It then closes a set of "contacts" (or switches), which completes the circuit from your battery to your controller. This allows electricity to flow freely to your controller and motor, to power your cart forward. When you lift your foot off the pedal, the solenoid stops the electricity from flowing, stopping power to your controller and causing the cart to slow.
EZ-GO Golf Cart Solenoid
Because your EZ-GO golf cart solenoid's job is to control when and how much power goes to your cart's controller, it is incredibly important to make sure this part is working in tip-top shape. There are two key ways you can tell if you have a bad EZGO golf cart solenoid:
- Your EZGO won't turn on when you turn the key on (electric carts)
- Your EZGO turns on, but the starter won't disconnect (gas carts)

Upgrading to Heavy Duty EZGO Solenoid
If your EZGO golf cart has an upgraded EZGO speed controller, then it is highly important that you add a heavy-duty solenoid to your setup. Upgrading your controller to a more powerful unit without upgrading your solenoid can fry your golf cart's electronics quickly!
