Best Golf Cart Tires for Pavement

Every year, golf carts continue to get used more and more off the golf course. With many families choosing to use their carts as the primary way to get around their neighborhood. But these tires still need to be gentle enough for the grass and fairways. This has lead the golf cart industry to bring better golf cart tires to market each year, and for 2025 we are blown away by the quality of tires that are on the market.

One big theme we have been pointing out for 4-years running is that Radial golf cart tires are here to stay.  And that is because radial tires offer two major primary benefits when it comes to your golf cart:

  1. They reduce rolling resistance for better gas mileage / improved torque from your cart.
  2. They have a longer tread life (compared to straight bias ply tires).

So you won't be surprised to see a few radial tires on our list this year! You can learn more about the differences between Radial golf cart tires and Bias Ply tires by reading our article: Radial vs. Bias Ply Golf Cart Tires Explained.

1. TREX StreetGlide Steel Belted Radial Golf Cart Tires

TREX StreetGlide 205/50-10 Radial Golf Cart Tires    TREX ComfortGlide 215/50-12 Radial Golf Cart Tires

TREX entered the golf cart tire space last year, and to our surprise quickly took 1st place on our list of best tires. The data is in, and our customers felt the exact same way about the StreetGlide and ComfortGlide lines of tires last year. So for 2025 TREX has now cemented themselves in the golf cart tire space with smooth as butter Radial Only golf cart tires. TREX offers both the StreetGlide (low profile) and ComfortGlide (taller cushy profile) radial tires for all golf cart wheel sizes, including 10", 12" and 14" applications. We are hopeful they will release a 15" tire sometime this year, but no word on that yet.

Not only do these tires completely change the ride of your cart to be the smoothest possible, but their radial construction provides reduced rolling resistance and better battery / fuel efficiency for your cart. While most golf carts max out around 25-35mph, the TREX StreetGlide tires have a speed rating of "N", which means these tires can theoretically handle up to 87mph.

Grab a set of TREX Golf Cart Tires today and get these great qualities:

Tire Features:

  • Steel Belted Radial design allows tire to hold true shape better.
  • Smoothest ride on market due to tire expanding less during use (heat resistance).
  • Reduced rolling resistance leads to better fuel efficiency (improve golf cart battery drain and gas mileage).
  • Made from industry leading quality gum-rubber.
  • Offered in sizes for 10 inch, 12 inch, and 14 inch wheels.

2. Kenda Kruzer Radial Golf Cart Tires

While the Kenda Kruzer is not the newest tire on the market, our stats showed that it grew in popularity quite a bit last year thanks to its smooth ride and sporty looks. With its steel belted radial construction, these tires provide long lasting tread-life, are gentle on both turf and grass (turf safe), and give your cart the ultimate street traction when you need it.

Because the Kruzer is a true Steel Belted radial, it knocked the Excel Street Fox (last year's #2 street tire) off our list this year. And while Steel Belted Radial tires are a bit more expensive, they are worth it both short and long term for their performance over basic bias-ply tires,

Tire Features:

  • Steel Belted Radial Construction
  • Unique sports car inspired directional tread pattern
  • Offered in several sizes for 12 inch and 14 inch wheels

3. Wanda Sport P825 Golf Cart Tires

Holding firm at #3 on our street tire list this year are the Wanda P825 street sport tires. Why do we love the Wanda P825 tires? They're a great value (read: cheap). The rubber quality is excellent! They last a long time for being a bias-ply design (non-radial).

This is one of the most popular tires on the entire golf cart market, and has been for many years. In fact, most of our low profile  golf cart wheels and tires combos come with this tire mounted on it.

And customers have been loving them for years. That is because Wanda is a trusted titan in the tire space, and even manufacturers for many OEM brands such as Polaris (RZRs).

Tire Features:

  • Low price, but high quality
  • Industry trusted tread pattern design
  • Non-directional tires
  • Offered in sizes for 10 inch, 12 inch and 14 inch golf cart wheels

Introduced to the market in 2022, the XCOMP Gladiator golf cart tires have quickly become a staple at many club houses around the country. And boy did they pick up steam last year in our sales data! An All Terrain tire at the Clubhouse? Yes, you read that right. The XCOMP Gladiator is a new type of golf cart tire we like to call "hybrid terrain". With a shallow tread depth of 8mm, this tire won't damage the fairways at your golf course, even with its slightly aggressive looks.

The versatility of having a badass looking tire, that you can take on the golf course, the street and the trails is what has catapulted the XCOMP Gladiator golf cart tires into our #1 spot for all terrain tires this year. One final benefit of the Gladiator golf cart tire is that it offers DOT approval which means you can use it on the street legally as well.

The only drawback to the X-COMP Gladiator is that it is expensive. But steel belted radial quality has a price! And with a huge range of tire sizes to choose from for all golf cart wheels, we are sure you'll love having these on any cart.

3. RHOX GPLR All Terrain Golf Cart Tires

RHOX GPLR All Terrain Golf Cart Tires

Knocking the GTW Nomad off our list this year is the high-performing RHOX Grappler (GPLR). This tread pattern is a direct competitor to the GTW Nomad, the SGC Stinger and the TREX ARTEMIS tire styles, but the tread style of the GPLR tire is what set it ahead of the competition this year with customers. Even though this tire is Bias-Ply, it is both very strong and smooth riding. And it outsold the Steel Belted Radial GTW Nomad by just a hair in our stats last year.

Get a smooth ride on the street and aggressive performance (and looks) when you need it, with the RHOX GPLR.

2. Wanda 18x8.50-8 Turf Golf Cart Tires

Bumping back one spot on our list this year, is the Wanda 18x8.50-8 Turf tire. When replacing your basic factory sawtooth style  18x8.50-8 golf cart tires, many of our customers decide to use the opportunity to upgrade their tread pattern / style a bit to gain extra performance. The best part about going with an upgraded tread option in the same size as OEM is that you won't need to modify your cart at all to get the benefits of using these tire styles! The Wanda 18x8.5-8 Turf golf cart tires are the perfect option for this.

Our customers love this performance turf tire for a number of reasons, but mostly because they are inexpensive and instantly give your cart upgraded driving performance on turf, sand, and loose gravel / trails. With slightly deeper tread blocks than your traditional OEM sawtooth tread pattern, you will instantly notice a gain in traction on your cart with these tires installed.

The best part is, the 18" Wanda Turf golf cart tires still maintain the same performance on the street and golf course that you expect from your factory sized sawtooth style tires. Turf safe and smooth on the street!
